About IAStructE

Indian Association of Structral Engineers (IAStructE) is a national body of structural engineers established with the objective to cater to the overall professional needs of structural engineers in India. It has been formed with the active support of leading structural engineers from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Secunderabad, Chennai and Kolkata as Founder Members.

IAStructE Governing Council comprises members who are prominent Structural Engineers from all regions of the country.

IAStructE strives to make available to the Government - Central as well as State - a credible source of well qualified and experienced structural engineers. A database of Structural Engineers has been compiled and is being constantly updated.

IAStructE is a body of professionals with which Government and other concerned authorities can have meaningful & fruitful dialogue towards safety & stability of structures and mitigation of the consequences arising out of natural disasters.

IAStructE Centres are now functioning in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Noida(UP), Roorkee and Secunderabad.

IAStructE is expanding fast to include in its fold Structural Engineers from all over India.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING DIGEST (SED)
The 1st issue of the new magazine of the Association (SED) has been printed and is being posted free to all members. This official publication of IAStructE is a joint venture of the Association with Akar Info Media P Ltd of Ahmedabad. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED

A prominent thrust area of IAStructE is to ensure that its members have the requisite technical knowledge and experience, updated on a continuing basis, to render professional service of high caliber to the society. The Governing Council have at their 26th Meeting held on 20 December 2006, decided to reduce the experience required for FELLOW grade of Membreship from the existing 20 years to 15 years
